Yakitori competition rules

Yakitori competition Rules !!

May be cooked on any fire or heat source.
Must use provided turn in box and the lid must close.
You may decorate the turn in box with only edible garnish, but garnish is not part of the appearance score.
Turn in a minimum of SIX sticks of food for judging.
No dipping sauces allowed in the box.
Any clean stick is allowed; Skewer, Rosemary, Popsicle Stick, etc. as long as it fits in the box.
Food must be poultry such as chicken, duck, pigeon and quail etc and must be skewered on a stick.
Boxes will be judges from 1 to 10 points for appearence, taste and tenderness.
In case of a tie, there will be a coin toss.

You are allowed to bring your own meat. This has to be inspected on arrival or at the standard Meat inspection or meat will be distributed by the organization (free of charge).

Grand Champion will receive a full option Yakitori by StokesBBQ !!

Naast het vaste tijdschema zijn er de hele dag diverse tastings, demo's en muziek.

Demo's Cadac zaterdag tussen 12:00 en 17:00

Voor de kinderen is er een stormbaan en overal word gezorgd voor genoeg eten en drinken!

The Contest:

Each competitor will start with exactly 20 chicken wings
The contest will last exactly five (5) minutes.
Once the contest starts, the competitors will consume their allotted wings and place the eaten chicken wing bone back into the wing receptacle (bucket).
If a competitor finishes their allotted (20) wings before the contest is complete, they will be given an additional 20 wings to consume.
Once the contest is complete, each competitor’s wing receptacle (bucket) will be taken to ensure (all) the meat was eaten off the bone.
The winner will be determined by the total number of chicken wings eaten, measured by the cheferee.
In the event of a tie between competitors, there will be a 60 second “run off” to determine the winner.

Cheferee's decision is non debatable, cheferee is always right!

About Meat The East

KCBS sanctioned BBQ competition located in eastern Netherlands. 

BBQ teams from all over the world are competing in Chicken, Pork, Ribs and Brisket.

On saturday they will put some fire in their smokers and the meat has to be ready the next day.
